The Honda has a more interesting drive train, but the Toyota’s quirky looks are endearing.

The Yotahachi is one of my dream cars so, the Toyota.

Find one of the Toyotas with a buggered engine and do an engine swap. Motorcycle engine maybe?

Me too. I love the covered headlights and the roofline. The S600 looks a little too similar to an MGB GT for me.

The honda. That thing just looks stunning.

I like the Toyota more, but there’s probably a reason they sold so few of them compared to Honda’s roadsters.

Have you seen Jay Leno’s S600 hotrod video? It sounds insane:

Yeah that high revving chain drive setup is too cool. If I had to guess, I bet it was lack of interest in the Toyota’s polarizing styling + conventional drivetrain that accounted for poor sales.

Toyota.

I love the S600, but Toyota, hands down....LOVE the look of that car. Also, I have a thing for 2-cylinder engines in automobiles. :P

Sports 800.
The S600 may be the best sounding car of all time, but you can’t ignore how the Sports 800 was capable of a top speed in exceess of 100 mph despite only putting out 28 horsepower, through the power of aerodynamics alone.

That’s an Opponaut’s car.

Another one of my dream cars! I’ll take the version with the 3 vertically arranged taillights please:

It’s too bad the Toyotas are so rare! I haven’t seen one and I doubt I will for quite some time.

Thanks! And of course you have the top comment lol.

Growing up my friends Dad, who happened to be a distinguished brain surgen, used to put on driving gloves and take his ratty old datsun roadster out for rips on the weekends.. I always though he was a pretty smart guy.

A Honda S600 is at the very top of my list for a car with a street bike swap. I love the mini MGB GT looks.

I hope you do mate, I doubt I ever will unless I happen upon a museum with one, and there are none anywhere near me...

Yeah it’s an elegant interpretation of the roadster-turned-coupe idea. Realistically I like the way both cars look.

Maybe a Japanese car show? I saw an Autozam AZ-1 at a local show last year, so that gives me hope! You never know...

I want to prefer the quirkiness of the Toyota, but I have an aching want for an S600, there’s just something about them.

i’d be happy with either.
